Engine Idle

Ok now that my steering issue has been identified. My sho seems to idle akwardly. When you first start it it will go to 1000 then drop down to about 700 ok cool. After driving it the end of my driveway (dirt) and put it in neutral it will idle at 1100 and no lower no matter how long you wait. If i push the clutch in just a tiny franction of an inch it will drop to 1000 then go right back to 1100 and it will only do this the first time I push the clutch. The other day it was literally jumping from 1600 to 1100 back and forth I reved it and it still did it pushed the clutch in and didn't change a thing. So I shut the engine off and it stopped doing it and hasn't done it since. Can someone help IAC maybe? But I thought they usually failed on the closed side.

Have you done the idle reset procedure yet??

No I didn't know there was a procedure to it.

Clean your IAC if it has not been done recently,reset idle.
search "idle reset procedure".

Perform the idle reset correctly first...Then IAC must be replaced if that does not correct your problem
