are there any shops that are able to clean the engine bay using some process or another? i tried to hand clean mine on sunday but didnt get too far. just about everything is dirty and decided it didnt want to come off. i was wondering if detail shops or something have a way to clean engine bays to almost-new? i know about the dc-2? detail kit but really dont think that it will help too much untill after i get a major cleaning done. but i may be wrong, if uve used it and say it works miracles ill try it.

most detail shops can get it like it just came off the lot. call around and you should be able to find a place close to do it. i don't know how much it will cost you though.

Damn you Dvorzsak!!! And its not the DC-2 its CD-2 Engine detailing kit. Its a 2 part deal. First you spray the engine down with the engine degreaser they give you. Rinse it off then put the detailer on and your set! John (SHO2NV) uses it and his looks really good. There are 2 places around here that will do it, $85 and $100 each though.

cleaning the engine is not hard it is just time consuming. But once you have it clean just like the outside and inside the car it just gets easier each time after. Just takes a little elbow grease the first time if its never been done.

Side note:
COVER YOUR CPS! Water from a leaking pump is what usually kills them but you can **** it yourself with a water hose
