My SHO has a 1.25 amp draw in the off position. Yesterday I pinpoint tested all my door switches at the fuse panel and found both front doors to be ajar.
I applied lubricant to the latches and have correct the ajar issue. I was wondering if the door ajar cause the radio to stay on standby or something? When I pull a fuse that leads to the stereo/climate control unit the draw reduces to .30 amps. I was wondering if I fixed both issues with the door ajar switch?

Also, is there a light in the dash that is supposed to illuminate if the doors are open?

Did the draw go away after you fixed the door ajar switches? (did you re-check them with the meter?) If not, unplug the football and see what happens.

I didn't check the draw again yet, just kinda of curious because you know how some of those radio's continue playing when you key the vehicle off? Just wondering if it had something to do with it. I know for sure that the GEM was active while the door switches where stuck in the ajar position. Perhaps that other module keeps other circuits alive?

I will check and give a update.

O by the way 2004+ Focus speakers are a direct replacment for the Taurus SHO. I removed the SHO radio connector from the stock 98 SHO speaker discard speaker, then snapped that connector onto the Focus speaker which has a provision for it, and then wired that connector to the speaker leads. Worked out great and sound good too!

P.S. if you wondering where I got the speaker its from my brothers car when we did the stereo swap...
