Sorri I accidentally posted this in the performancs upgrades thread.heres the issue

So I had an issue for a while where the car wouldnt start up occasionally, you would hear it start to start for a split second and then nothing, try again and nothing at all.. so I would have to hit the starter with my flashlight and the car would start fine...

Now I try to start my car and all the electric just cuts off. I have to wiggle the wires at the battery terminal to restore power, try to start it again, **** everything shuts off. I took the cables off of the battery to find my negative battery cable completly corroded with white stuff. I chopped off the first inch and a half and removed some of the rubber insulater and its corroded all the way down. What would cause this to happen? If I want to replace my negative cable, where is the other end connected to?

It's normal for them to get corroded with age. The negative cable runs from the (-) battery post to the engine ground (starter bolt). I think the PCM ground tees in at the battery post.

X3 for cables!!

Check them over really well, I had one that went bad smack dab in the middle of the cable, right down by the bottom of the radiator!
