I was debating if I should sell my spare L0S, as my previous owner tossed an X2J in my 91. I used the SC tuner trial software, and compared the settings for each EEC I am involved in (including the B9B in my 89).
Here is what I found:
L0S: greater timing advancement as RPMs increase, 7200RPM redline, secondaries open at 3950
X2J: less timing advancement as RPMs increase, 7200RPM redline, secondaries open at ~3600
B9B: same timing advance by RPM as L0S, 7800RPM redline (so the tach is accurate?), much faster rate of timing advance at different RPMs (explains 89's touchier throttle?)
I'm going to swap my B9B into my 91 soon and see if I can notice a difference. This could get interesting!
Let me know if I'm wayyyyyy to far in the wrong direction. I'm just beginning to learn about the EEC calibrations, so bear with me! thumb
