The climate control dial only works on max, it wont put out anything on heater or a/c if it is in any other position. Any ideas?

What year of SHO? Does the fan control wheel work? Can you change temperature? We need more specifics before diagnosis can begin...

its a 93 atx, and the fan control wheel/dial does work but only if you push it all the way up to max, then the a/c kicks in. but if i try to lower the fan speed it it stops blowing, it says the a/c is still on but nothing is coming out. and it doesn't matter what temp it is at it just doesn't blow anything at other than the max fan speed. and yes i can change the temps. thanks

You have a textbook case of a bad blower control relay module. Very common. I have fixed a couple of these and it's not hard, but you have to have an SMT soldering iron and a lot of patience.

I'm going to make a page that details how to fix these things.. but I need a volunteer to lend me his module so I can fix it and take pictures of the process. Whomever volunteers will get their module back in working order ... :)

The module is located in the heating duct behind the glove box. It's a wash as to whether it's easier to get at it with the glove box in or out. As I recall it has it's name on a sticker stuck to the relay: "Blower control module" or something.

It will end up being a small black topped circuitboard that will slide out. It may be held in by a couple small bolts or screws.

As I recall I had it out in about five minutes.. it should be very obvious.

E-mail me for details.

I also have a 93 atx no mods. I have the same problem with the fan control wheel. Only works on high. What to I do with the blowere control relay module once I get it out in the open ?
