Issue was the motor seemed to be broken. Luckily there was a new old stock one in eBay.
Also the plastic piece that holds the deflector arms had also disintegrated but luckily I was able to 3D print a replacement part (if anyone has the same issue I could probably send you guys some or share the file).
The only thing is my old sunroof seal is not in the best condition - does anyone know where to get replacement ones? Couldn't really find anything online.

As far as I know the original Webasto Starlight IV seals were gone but it has been so long to be certain. Do a search of the Gen I and II section and also check out https://www.sunroofdoctor.com
People were getting parts from there before but not sure of the status this many years later. If you don't see something on the website I would reach out with an email and see if they have stuff not listed. Good luck and post back with results.

Found this on their website, says it should be compatible with the Taurus from 86-95 so worth a shot.

I would verify it with that company. Measure twice cut once. It's not the price as much as risking duplicating labor. Unless you can garage it and let it sit disassembled

I've messaged them and they confirmed that it should fit. Also comes with a self-adhesive in it so there should be no need to glue anything.

Depending on your install temperature, don't leave a very large gap. I bought a NOS one, thought I was leaving a tight gap, and after the sun hit it a couple dozen times it shrank like crazy opening a one inch gap. Higher install temperature means use a smaller gap than the manual calls for.
