Bummer. I just found out the stock compression ratio of my engine is 10.5:1...

I guess a FI setup has been nixed for now.

Why would you think that? That is what all the offroad guys are doing. Use a stock compression motor and add less boost. Use an intercooler of any sorts and you'll be fine. I still think a rear mount turbo would be good.

So....? People add superchargers and turbochargers to stock LS2s every day of the week, and the stock CR for an LS2 is 10.9:1....

I did the hole through the hood method:

The torque and throttle response was amazing, though the design is incredibly inefficient. There's a ways to go to make my setup work, including getting the motor back together. I can't work on it until August. . .

Yes, but this isn't an LS2, it's a Ford-based V6...;)

I've recently started looking for a house or condo for purchase, so cash flow has been srangled to my projects. Also, my warranty is still in tact, so I didn't plan on doing this until it's out. This will give me more time for research anyway.

Warranty is out mid 2008. If I for some reason have some more funds available to me or haven't purchased another project, I'll look further into this.

Thanks guys.

An air-air IC is also not looking great. I'd have to go with an air-water IC. Anyone have any info or guidance on this?

I use Alcohol/Water injection. Can get as much as 120' F intercooling effect. Nice shot in the behind when the pump kicks on too. I go through about 1/2 gallon of Methanol/Water mix every 500 miles or so. Only kicks on around 5 PSI and above. Below 5 PSI boost you don't need anything.

Thanks for all the advice. I'm currently trying to move out of my current residence. All dreams are on hold. I've even slowed my car-board participation to stop the painful daydreaming.
