If the display is set to show the exterior temperature, do you have to toggle the switch again to make a CC adjustment?
I recently performed this EATC mod on my car. Another shot.

Yes all except the manual fan speed. it would behoove you to put the toggle button somewhere close to the existing controls. Also a lighted button would be nice.

Stupid question time-
Assuming I ever make time to do this mod (which I like by the way,) or ever find an EATC at the junkyard,

What's the procedure to removing the EATC from the dash?

Thanx,
Will

slosho,

That EATC looks great! I'm sure you've explained this at some point already, but what is that module out of? Did it require any major rework to wire it in?

The green one is not from a SHO. Got it on eBay and am not sure of it's heritage. The innards are the same as the SHO "hard button" style. The other one is the typical "soft (and broken) button" style found on most Gen 2s.

Because of all the broken buttons on the EATC in my MTX, I just bought a new to me EATC and I didn't see an answer to this question:

"What's the procedure to remove the EATC from the dash?"

Thanks

1. Get torx bits
2. Take off the panel under the steering column
3. remove the two torx bolts at the top of the instrument cluster
4. remove the two torx bolts holding the whole bezel on that should have been uncovered by the removal of the panel under the steering column (knee bolster)
5. remove your light ****
6. pry CAREFULLY on it all, and it'll eventually come out
7. remove the 4 bolts holding the EATC in and unplug it and that should be all :)

Hey, not bad for a newbie, huh?

SHOZ123, if that eatc is from a 95, why is the display green? I thought everything after 92 was blue.
