Hello,

Does the DW300C fuel pump require a tune update? To my limited knowledge it’s just a more reliable pump with the ability to flow more fuel when needed (e.g E30 fuel) but I’m no expert.
I already have the Gearhead AO tune.

All input appreciated. Thanks.

All
No tune needed. And it doesn't flow much more than OEM at all. Its just more reliable and smooth. Check out my links below:

Thank you, that is very helpful. I just bought it for consistency. The stock LPFP acts different every time I get on the throttle.

Not really....I can do a conversion of the module in about 30 to 45 minutes. Actually removing and installing the LPFP in the car...maybe another 30 minutes total. It helps to have the right tools though.

Ain't that the truth. I have a friend that wanted me to build him a tool to remove a plug in his pool filter assembly. I ordered the actual tool from Amazon and spent $10 to save myself two or three hours of welding, fabbing, etc. Got the plug out in 2 minutes with the right tool.

Do you have a write up on the conversion module?

If you don’t mind spending extra for your peace of mind you can send the assembly to DeatschWerks and they will modify it with a new DW300c and send it back to you ready to drop in.

That’s what I did. I suck at DIY modifications and doing it myself was not an option.

I haven't watched the vids yet, so can't say my comfort level. But, are you saying buy the pump and a new assembly to send to them? Where did you source the assembly?

Anywhere that sells Ford parts online, there are dozens of them....stick with OEM.

I bought the OEM assembly for almost $200 at the time, but I think prices went up a little since then.

You don’t buy the pump first, you send in the OEM with the service request and DW will charge you for the pump and labor.

I really wish people would do a search before asking a million questions...smh.

I already explained what you need to do. Just go to any of the online Ford parts places...look for the diagram for your year and model. Find the pump...buy.

Only suggestion I have is check a few places first. The prices vary and so does shipping. You might find it cheaper at one place, but the shipping is crazy expensive. It all depends on where you live, so just go do a search.

Stay off RockAuto.

Yea, well I've been on car Ford/SVT forums since 2001, and get tired of responses like these. This is THE point of a car forum. New information (parts, sources, writeups, procedures etc) may have been found out since it was last discussed, so there is no harm in checking. Maybe someone with a different experience has joined the forum since your thread and can post their thoughts/experiences here where they wouldn't have in an older thread. I pop in an out in between meetings and other daily activities. I get email notifications of replies to THIS thread now. 30 seconds to ask a question, 30 seconds for someone to answer. Boom, done, move on. It would take a hellova lot longer to research - how am I to know YOUR threads were the ones to search? I do search things when I have extended downtime with nothing else to do. Like most people. Where's the issue?

I also asked, hoping for other feedback as well, because I saw your thread where you created a simple way for YOU to switch them out. 999,999 out of 1,000,000 people are NOT going to do that. I mean Christ, be happy there's another new enthusiast in the same platform that is traditionally NOT a popular performance-oriented platform, relatively speaking.

There really wasn't any need for you to respond. Could've taken your life lesson, said thanks, and moved on. But since you felt the need...

No, the point of a forum is to have a repository of information, all you need to do is search for it. If no one cared about useful posted information, those old posts/threads would be deleted after some time. I told you a few times to do a search for parts, I also gave you a jumping off point. I even did the work for you. What else do you need It's? It's time for you to do a bit of legwork. All the information is out there, it doesn't need to be regurgitated multiple times. No one cares about how busy your life is...we all got busy lives, boo hoo. Was there a rush? Where's the fire? Wait until you have time to do a thorough search. Stop sending up signal flares for air support when the answer is right in front of you, just needs a bit of effort to find.

Now, do we keep goin? Or did you get the info you needed? You're welcome.

Not going to do what? Convert the module? There is literally no other way. LMAO.
