The process is almost identicle.
When you remove the torque converter to "flywheel" bolts, mark the torque converter and the "flywheel" at one of the bolt positions. I use a dab of paint. This is so you put the two back together in the same relative position.
A "crowsfoot" wrench is necessary to torque these bolts.
If you have the trans out replace the rear main seal, the axel seals, and the trans input shaft seal. If you are going to rebuild it, upgrade it.
Also get the torque converter rebuilt if it has more than 75k on it.
Lastly, it is much heavier than a manual trans! rangerj
