I got the black. The body color ones seem out of place to me because you have broken up strip of color in the middle of the black housing.

The instructions were pretty straight forward, but it is hard to get the splice connector on the turn signal wire on the passenger side. Ford didn't leave too much to play with. Took me about an hour all together.

They give you the terrible little blue splice connectors?

Too funny you say that. I was an RV service tech off and on for about 12 years. And yeah, they are called Scotch Locks and are garbage for any wiring that would be exposed to the elements.

Yeah I was surprised they'd use them for anything in the elements given how bad they are when they're just buried in a wall or ceiling

I guess with enough liquid electrical tape I could learn to trust them for a short period of time

You guys are killing me! These connectors are bad I agree, but wrap them in electrical tape and tuck them in a good "protective," place and they're just fine! I've had mine on my car over 2 years now and not a single issue even after I did an inspection on 1 of the connectors just to check things out and it looks like the day it was installed.

Choppa….Just noticed the CV-43 License plate...…..As in USS Coral Sea? I am not trying to date you but I was on the world Cruise in 1990 that brought the USS Enterprise (CVN-65) from California to Norfolk, Va. At that time it was going to be retired. They kept it alive for another almost 23 years though.

Omaha......I agree on the enough is enough. I did regular male/female splices on mine. After that I wrapped electrical tape then, plastic wire loom protective covering. Same here almost 2.5 years and no issues.

USS Coral Sea it is 1985-1990 then transferred to the USS Milwaukee (AOR-2) during Desert Storm.

Nice. I was a BT2 when I left the Coral Sea in 88, Just put on Chief when I got out in 95. It was hard getting out after 10 years but the BT rate was slowly going away and I would have had to cross to GSM. Offers from the public sector were to good to pass up with my certifications.

I loved watching them Hornets. I remember being told during one of the flight ops that the Hornets thrust was more than it's own weight, so it was the only plane that could accelerate vertically. Bad ass!!

Nothing wrong with that you have a highly technical and complex occupation skill set. Glad it worked for you!
