Has anyone seen driving lights that could replace the little LED lights on the bumper (Daytime running lights?)

I found these but seem rather pricey for what they are. I found something like what I'm looking for, for the Fusion, but not the SHO. Seems like someone could replicate the mounting plate with a projection - type driving light.

Quality and service. USA vendor. And well worth it. I would say 95% or greater of their product line works out very well. And this one certainly has a good share of satisfied customers.

I have these ... and they rock. I have no remorse for the price.

I have them too and one of the best exterior mods I've done! Love them - I bought the silver ones to match my car and it looks completely OEM! I love the amber turn signal indicator as well. Great product!!

Ah these look really cool! Do these actually act as daytime running lights or do you still have to switch it over to the parking lights for them to come on?

How was installation? It says it comes with good instructions but I've never messed around with the lighting too much.

Just like DRLs. ignition On = Lights on. Ignition Off = Lights off.

Installation isn't too bad, took me an hour, but I was being a little slow. Hardest part was getting the crimp connector on the turn signal wire for the passenger side. Not a lot of room and not a lot of extra stock wiring.

Nice, thanks. I just asked because AFAIK the SHO doesn't have any daytime running lights. I think I'll be ordering these guys.

I've been looking at these too for the 2018 I have on order.

SHO in the US, doesn't have there DRLS so I'd assume that these function like the factory accent lights, except these light as turn signals too.

I understand that they are much brighter than the factory lights...but how much brighter? Are they still accent lights, or bright enough to be foglights?

Not bright enough to be fog lights, but highly visible during daylight hours which makes them a great DRL. Turning amber with the turn signal is a cool feature.

Click on my Avatar pic! They're bright! Just like OEM lights on all manufactures!

I put a set of these lights on my SHO about two years ago......Reasonably to install and Dan provided both technical support during install and service after the sale. I got the whole package......LED DRL with Turn Signal, 6000K HID Headlights and the puddle lamps. Definitely a good investment since Ford doesn't think we rate fog lights even though the Lincoln MKS version had them. Front Bumper clip will have to be removed or at least partially removed for access. Front Fender inner splash shield and the OEM DRL Fascia at a minimum to route wiring along side of the inner fender on the engine side. Also since they get a power supply from the headlights, you have to splice into the OEM harness, which Dam provides wiring diagram and detailed instructions and photos on some of the more intricate steps. Most of the steps are fairly simple. I would recommend setting all the wiring first then do the splicing. Also goes without saying perform Operational Checks prior to closing back up the inner fender splash shield and DRL housing valance/fascia.

Here is the basic summary.

Ignition Positon.......................................Color

OFF Clear/White
Ignition on Lights/off WHITE
Ignition on Parking lights WHITE
Ignition ON External lights on WHITE
Four way Hazard/flashers Amber
Turn Signal Left Starts WHITE then turns amber during turn then back to white when Turn is complete. (Passengers side DRL White.
Turn signal Right Just opposite of Turn Signal Left.

Thanks, I didn't realize the bumper cover had to come off for this mod.

It doesn't on a 13 and up. On my 15 the light holders just pop out, held in with 7ish clips. Then just three bolts on the wheel well insert to get your hand in to unplug the stock light. Instructions in the kit even show you how to pop out the light housings.

It looks like they're having a sale on these lights if anyone is interested. Not sure if it is only for Cyber Monday or anything but I just happened to check the website and saw it.

Been looking at these. I'm not extremely savvy with these types of installs, were the instructions as clear as they claim? Did you get the black or the body color red DRLs? (you and I both have the ruby red)

I got the black. The body color ones seem out of place to me because you have broken up strip of color in the middle of the black housing.

The instructions were pretty straight forward, but it is hard to get the splice connector on the turn signal wire on the passenger side. Ford didn't leave too much to play with. Took me about an hour all together.
