New guy here, not so new to the world.

I have a 94 SHO ATX with some issues. Surprising.

Drivability problems.

When I start it after setting for more then a few hours, after about 5 seconds it almost stalls, then comes back alive and never does that again while it's warm.

Though it does stall sometimes at idle. That's embarrassing. And idles rough, SOMETIMES.

Sometimes on mild acceleration, it stumbles and acts like it's going to stall and I have to hit the pedal hard to keep it from doing it.

And the check engine light is on MOST of the time.

And it's getting HORRIBLE! gas milage, around 16. It's parked until that improves.

These issues seemed to get worse when it's hot outside. Though it always does that cold start near-stall thing.

Do these symtoms point to anything in particular?

Welcome aboard!

You probably have a couple of issues that are compounding your symptoms.

Step 1: Pull all your DTC fault codes. They are important clues as to what the computer is complaining about. Get your baseline data before trying to fix anything.

Step 2: Clean your MAF sensor.

Step 3: Clean your IAC valve.

Step 4: Be prepared to clean your EGR ports (if you pull a 332 DTC).

Step 5: Be ready to replace 1 or more O2 sensors if needed.

Step 6: Be ready for more stuff as we gather data and correct or eliminate common items.

Post those fault codes and we'll see where you're at.
