A year or so ago I purchased LED scuff plates. I also replaced all of the interior lights with LED’s. Then one time, after having the doors open for an extended amount of time upgrading the speakers, the dome lights would not fire when opening the door. But, if you get in and press any of the buttons, they light manually. I took it to the dealer and in the middle of the pinpoint test they just started working again. They told me about the resistors, I think the term was “afield” resistors? They said if it happens again, from having the doors open, to disconnect the battery for 5 minutes. So, a few days ago, it started again. I disconnected the battery for 5 minutes. Then 10 minutes. Then a half hour. They still won’t fire automatically. They were giving me grief at the time about the aftermarket LED’s. My wife swears she only left the door open, “...for a minute or two.” . Before I go back in and let them have their way with me...any suggestions? If they fire manually it can’t be a fuse. Can it? I’m at a loss. And about to take a bigger loss! But I can’t stand it when something, no matter how small, doesn’t work!
