Your crank should be fine if your bearings were still intact. The bearings are made of a softer metal than the crank, so it'll wear first and will not damage the crank.

The only reason you would want ot do anything like that is if your bearing spun and scored the crank journal and the rod ( as it happened to me) then you need to pull the motor.

uh oh trouble

So when you run your fingernail across the crank journal it catches? and you can see visible deep scratches?

And by saying that a few of the bolts came loose, do yo umean you could undo them by hand or that they weren't on there tight when you took them off with a socket.

Yes on the finger nail and scratches. And i can see them too.
And the bolts are suppose to be pressed in the rod right?
I can push some of them up.

sounds like its rebuild time. The bolts are pressed into the rods and should not move up or down at all. There is no way to take the crank out without taking out the motor afaik. Plus with the bolts loose in the rods I would either pull that motor out and rebuild it or just get another motor and drop it in. Or do like I did use it as an excuse for a 3.2 swap :thumb: :bonk:

It is a 3.2 I have an atx and I cant afford to do anything with it so its either
part out time or sell and get a 240sx like i have always wanted or keep it and try to save the to have it done.

How much are you into your SHO? I hate to see SHOs get parted out unless theyve been wrecked. You can usually find a good deal on a SHO motor.

I got alot of money into it as far as sensors and stuff. Few upgrades and
I can't keep putting money into a never ending problem. At least it seems that way. And i could probably afford an engine its just rebuilding it and havnig it put in that would **** me. I'm not sure yet I wanna keep it
