There is one wire that hooks to a small post or a plug (I think later year cars had the plug) and there are 2 wires that go to the positive terminal. I can't tell from the pic what you have going on though, as stated above get a better pic and we might be able to help:thumb:

ok you have a ground cable that is a large gauge wire coming off the battery, one of the leads goes to the starter, the other mounts to the transmission bolt that has a stud sticking out. make sure these are all attached right. then the power cables, the one with the little connecter hooks to the starter sylanoid, the big one hooks to the positive on the starter. then there should be a large gauge wire that runs all the way up to the main fuse box and bolts to the stud sticking out the side of the box. thats all the power and ground wires i can think. oh wait there is a small body groud that is a small gauge wire that come right off the battery. make sure these are all right and then tell me if it fixes anything.

Ok, ha, another update... I kept cranking and cranking (pausing in between of course as to not fry my starter... So it sounded like it fired, shot up to 500 rpm, then died (when i let off) and alittle bit of smoke came up from the front...i wasnt outside the car looking, but i saw it trickle up. Well see how things go tomorrow night...
