ok im sure youre all saying "why bother getting performance springs then?" well the situation for me happens to be that i am required to be at work in all kinds of weather. i work at a nuclear power plant and even if its snowing and state of emergency has been declared i have to be here, so i have to be able to get through the snow and i dont think its a good idea for me to lower my SHO any more than it is at stock height. the car handles absolutely awesome in the snow as is, so im looking for some progressive springs that wont change the ride height, although i havent found any. any recommendations on a different performance spring? thanks in advance.

You could try a heavy duty "cargo" spring from Moog or TRW. They are progressive rate and have a stock ride height.

If your springs are original, Eibachs probably wont lower your car at all because your stock springs will have settled by now.

What olympic said. Seriously, I can't imagine very many people being unhappy with Eibach springs. I think with a set of snow tires for winter time you'd be all set.

well i actually had my all-seasons on for the winter and i had no problems what-so-ever. not even in the freak 6 inches of snow that we had in new york city.

the springs are in fact stock as far as i know so maybe ill go with the eibachs. i have to have the struts and bearings replaced so i figure i might as well do the springs since thats half the labor right there. if i go with the heavy duty that youre talking about, whats the ride like? i want the car to handle but i dont know if im prepared to feel like im riding in a tanker truck.

ps - any idea what the stock ride height is?

thanks for the tips guys!

Id honestly just go with the eibachs, they barely lower the car at all and, at least for me, it NEVER bottoms out unless you take a sharp incline at high speed. Honestly I wanted the car to be a lot lower than it is with the eibachs but, oh well. One day Ill have coilovers :D

I had Moog cargo springs in the rear of my car and the ride is the same as stock. You only notice they are there when you load up with passengers or luggage and the ass end isn't dragging...lol! They actually raised the back end up since the stock springs were sagged.

hmm, well i like the height where it is now. i think im going to go with the eibachs. i have to have both strut bearings replaced as well as my left strut in 3 weeks so i figure why not do the springs while im at it. half the labor is allready done.

yeah go with the eibachs, I highly doubt that you'll regret it. The handling is SO incredible with these things its sick.

I heard that Eibachs can rip up your stock struts. I'm not possitive about this, but i remember reading it, and that's why i chose to go with progressive rate springs from napa. They are actually stiffer than stock, but the car still handles amazingly!
