I went to take my DIS module to Advance Auto Parts today, and it failed the little ignition test. The guy didnt have an adapter that would fit both sides of the module, so he could only test one side at a time. Anybody else ever try this ignition test? Please let me know , thanks.

Just from looking at the Motorcraft replacement part numbers, I believe that the 90-90 all use the same DIS module (DY-655). The 89 DIS module is a different number (DY-554).

Checking Shonut's site, this is corroborated.

Old DIS module 90-95 DY-655 F1SZ-12A297-B
Old DIS module 89 DY-554 E9DZ-12A297-B

See my post above. They are different.
