75 mph impact on the way to the airport for family vacation. Seat belt pre tensioner went off but no airbags. I thought the car was on fire from the smell of those things. Insurance guys says $9k damage and they are fixing.A8fc62b234d9f28961d0885bcd3243a771bef883a5917cf27dadeb93663c5ff3A7c393dfef073f33d05115e53538316a

That's why I'm a firm believer that hunters should be able to take as many deer as they can consume. I see them on the road side all the time. And I know how you feel, a herd went across in front of me on a 6 lane highway. I was doing about 75 too, locked up the brakes, swerved across 3 lanes and still tagged the last one, a buck. Because they always cross last.

Glad you guys are fine and that she's getting fixed.

Coming for a body shop I can confirm this. There may be a lifetime warranty on the AM parts, but a lifetime warranty on a ************* is still a *************. OEM parts only or everything will fit like garbage.

Looks very similar to what my 2013 looked like after I hit one. Total bill was over $8K, but just paid my deductable.

Yeah that sucks, and I feel your pain - my 2016 was T-boned on the right side several months ago on the way to work - took out both doors, mirror, both fenders, and hood and was also $9k and almost 4 weeks to fix.

That's the second time I've been T-boned by a deer, last time was early late 90's in a Probe GT. I was fortunate that time as she only left some slobber on the right-side window...

Two hits for me 2010 SHO bounced off the front end and hit my windshield on the passenger side cracking it. Five grand in damage and the deer ran away into the woods. Hit a big buck in my Jag lucky for me I was driving slow and making a left hand turn plus the Jag was built like a tank.

I got one on the opposite side two years ago. On the interstate 1 in the morning doing about the same speed. I swerved but just caught his back leg then he spun around and got the back passenger door. Ironically we were coming back from a Ted Nugent concert.

I agree, everyone in my family has hit at least one and we **** a lot of deer during hunting season up here! We did make our flight though. I will ask about OEM parts, good point there guys.

I had a very similar thing happen to me, I was going 55mph, huge deer, $14.5K give or take. Intercooler, front end, radiator, hood, drivers fender, both headlight assemblies and replacing the grill bits of the adaptive cruise system. First car I've ever purchased, first deer I've ever hit, had had the car about 6 months or so. It's perfect now though. Freaking deer got up after sliding a couple hundred feet down the road and ran off... I don't think he got up immediately however. My seatbelt also went off and I do remember thinking something electrical had gone on as I smelled the same kind of smell you describe but it turned out to be nothing.

Good to see everyone is OK. The cars can't take it like they used to, but I am glad when they sacrifice themselves for us!
