Im getting a deep scrap sound from both back wheels.the right more then the left. It gets worse into a corner but the minute I use the brakes hard or soft it stops.I let of the brakes it comes back right away. the brakes and rotors are fine. the car does have aftermarket wheels. and they dont have any hubcentrics on them.when puting the wheel on the car.the wheel has play up and down.so I know its not sitting on the Hub's right.could this be the cause of the noise.any help would be great thanks.

Try braking while cornering , if the sound doesnt stop , try to remember which side you need to turn to make the sound worst. This should confirm a bad wheel bearing and if the louder sound is heard while left turning ,well the right bearing is bad. Always on the side you put all the car's weight (turning left sends all the car's weight on the right wheels.

If it instantly stops by pressing the brakes in ANY condition (including turning) , then something's up in your brakes.

My 2 cents on the possibilities.

the sound does go right away when ever the brakes are applied.and comes back when you left of the brakes. I sprayed WD40 where the wheel meets the rotor and the sound was very slight today.any ideas? thanks

does this mean your wheel moves on the hub after your lugnuts are installed? if so that's pretty dangerous.

no the wheel does not move when lugs are tight. but when the lugs are slightly loosen the wheel has alot of play up and down.the wheel doesnt sit on the hub well at all.

that's still pretty bad i believe. try getting some hubcentric rings or something and see if that helps:thumb:
