Here's a weird one for you. Since the mornings up here are starting to get a little dewey (that's condensation for all you sourthern US folks that probably don't get that).
My climate control unit comes on when I first turn the car on, then blanks out. It remains like that for about 5 or so minutes. Sometimes it flickers on and off (you can hear the relay - gotta love Ford Quality), but most of the time its just dead. After about 5 minutes or so, it comes on and works fine. My question is, where do I start looking for the problem? And what can I do to stop it? I'm thinking about pulling the dash apart and taking it out and hitting the contacts with some contact cleaner. Any other ideas?

I'm not sure what the fix for this would be, but I'd suggest running the climate control test on it. It should come up with something. You can find out how to run the test here.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I've done the test. Comes back with all 8's. And of course I can't run it for the first 5 mins because the system simply won't turn on. Its weird, because today it was like 28 degrees C here when I fired it up this morning and still same deal. So I can't really see it being moisture. Well, maybe, I guess, couldn't have been that warm all morning.

Anyone else have any ideas?
