My 93 ATX car the gauges in the dash have all stopped working; no gas gauge, tach. temp. gauge, nothing works. What drives the dash? In my old 64 Galaxie the constant voltage regulator ran the dash gauges, so what in the SHO does the same?

one of the fuses in the interior fuse box. I would pull them all out and check them, then reseat them - I have seen some get corroded enough on the pins that they would not flow power even though the fuse was good.

also check the grounds, as a bad ground also makes that not work.

There is no constant voltage regulator in your SHO. Everything works off the full 12 volts as far as I know.
Did this happen "out of the blue" or has something been done lately?

It was out of the blue type of problem. I pulled the rans pas and changed the filter and trans. oil; that's when the dash stopped working.....

ok, so what else happened when you dropped the rans pas? Did any sparks fly? Did anything accidentally get disconnected?

No sparks and I did not unplug anything. I did check the plug in for the relays on the transmission at the time, but it was good. I am going to go back under the car to take a look.

Is it just the gauges that don't work? Do ANY of the warning lights come on? Does the dash illumination still work? Turn signal , high beam? Low washer? Certain warning lights have their own dedicated power which is why I ask. I'm trying to find out if the whole cluster is dead or just certain functions...

Car has been on the back burner for awhile; warming lights do work; dash illumination also works. Still no tach, gas gauge and temp gauge. I did pull the CPU out of the Black SHO MTX car and installed it in the red ATX car, no change in the dash. I don't find what is wrong soon; I will cut this thing up and make a couch out of it!!!
