There is a spray out there called night shades it works great. I have used it. This is what mine looks like not a total back end shot but its the best I could find right now.

Sometimes with Night Shades it might take a few applications. It may also be a little uneven or rough so you might have to sand it down and put a clear coat on it.

SHO_Continental has a good approach...window tint.

It's not much better... I've been pulled over at a stop light, so a cop could say, Oh I'm sorry I tought you were stalled out at the light.. ;)

I've seen a few different LED bulbs that fit that socket, just haven't tried them yet. I believe I'll need a Grote flasher too to make that work.

i had led bulbs in mine and yeah you need a grote flasher to make it all work properly , without the grote in the turn signals wont even work, brake lights and all still work but no turns

i dont think you could get window tint to conform the curves in the light very well , nite shade is the best bet to make them look black, plus i dont know how well tint would hold being that its meant for the inside and not the outside were it will come across the elements of rain and dirt etc..

How many coats did you use? I did about 3 on mine with 3 clear coats and my lights are still visible. I did get pulled over when I had my Lund covers on because they didn't let the light through.

I have a small question. Do you think it is easier to just remove the tailight to paint it, or simply tape off the are and spray on the Nite Shades?
