My coils have not sagged. I have notuced that they are a touch softer than when first installed, but zero sagging.

I have just about 15k on my setup.

You bought new struts with springs already installed?.

it is possible..Monroe makes now what is called a Quickstrut..which is a strut and spring all put together with the boots and mounts and everything ready to install in the car...cuts down on install time...and yes they make them for the Taurus just not sure what springs they use..ill have to remember to ask the Monroe rep next time i see him...

i achieved a 2" drop all around by cutting 1 1/2 coils front, Moog CC858, and 1 coil rear, Moog CC839.
Would this combo of using Gen 2 Front springs and Gen 1 Rear springs be ideal for a Gen 2? I noticed you have a Gen 1 and was curious if a Gen2 would have a different ideal combo.

when i decided on the springs, they werent classified into any certain category according to what Gen you had.

i purchased mine solely by checking here: http://superhighoutput.com/specs_list.php

*mind you, when Kenny and i took on the task of pioneering Moog Cargo Coils as a cheap and effective lowering spring, the information you have today wasnt available.*

i purchased the heaviest load rated front spring. the rear spring was already tested on another Gen1, therefore, i bought the same rears.

a friend of mine had the same springs on his Gen2 ATX and liked them, but being ATX, he said the fronts softened up too much. i dont have any experience with a Gen2 riding on modded Moogs, hopefully someone who does can chime in. id also like to know, for future reference, how each spring reacts to a Gen2 ATX and MTX.

Yes, the spring do soften up a lot on the Gen 2 ATX. With one coil cut, the front was sky high and had a harsh ride. After several months, the front has settled quite a bit and is soft again, like stock. Below is a pic with 350lbs in the trunk. I'm trying to get it to sit down in the back. Check out my web page for more pics. Click on "hobbies". All pics have the weight in the trunk. I'm not done breaking them in yet. Without the weight, the rear sits too high. I'm thinking of cutting a a coil from the rear if I take the weight out of the trunk and it pops up again.

So I guess everyone should just stick with MTX coils

I bought the springs that Kenny's page suggest for gen 2's. Does anyone know what the curb weight is on gen 2 MTX and ATX? Is there that much of a difference that I would be experiencing these ride height problems? The fronts are really soft while the back is STIFF with almost no travel. When backing out of my driveway, my rear tire is comes off the pavement. I should really take some pictures of the goofy stuff this car does with these springs I will pull the weight from the trunk and take a picture.

It seems the rear should have had one coil cut and the front should have been left alone for the ATX's.

I should correct this.

I remeasured today.... It looks as if the rears have settled 3/8 of an inch, and the fronts have remained stationary.
