Hey guys,

I finished my valve cover gasket/plug well seals/plug wires/plugs/etc... repairs on Saturday night, and the car runs great now. (Thanx Scott for the step-by-step!) However, the little metal clip on my cruise control cable by the TB was almost off the wire, (holding it in position) when I tried to push it back on, it came off. How do I determine where on the "threaded" part of the black cable the clip should go? My cruise doesn't work now, I haven't checked out if it drops MPH then sets, (yet) when I tried it out and it didn't hold, I just shut it off. do I just need to try different settings on the "threads" for the metal retainer clip?

TIA!

JD

Did the clip get removed accidentally? There was no need to remove it as the cable end just snaps on the throttle shaft's cam. Try the midrange setting and go from there.
