My SHO won't start it has been brought to my attention that...

a bad ground on the intake manifold; check all connections including intake runner bolts and plenum bolts. A bad ground causes the DIS not to fully function and will not get proper readings to set timing etc, thus not letting the car start

I found a crack in my DIS it is where the rear plug plugs into the DIS. Could this be the reason why my SHO won't start?

A mis grounded DIS I believe can cause a no start issue. Go get another one and give it a try.

Go buy a DIS or find one in a junk yard and swap them. If the new one works you know what your problem is. If it doesn't work just take it back to where you got it.

The rear connector on my DIS module has been cracked for 4 years. As long as the crack is not in the body of the module, and the connection is solid, there really is nothing inside the DIS to wear out. When one fails, it is usually from overheating. Check the wires running from both connectors, especially in the area where they contact the intake and cover any bare spots you find.

It is an easy part to swap out, so that is a good idea if you don't find any bare wires. Just don't forget to use computer heat sink paste on the back of it.

If you have any trouble finding one, let me know. I have one from an 89 3.0 that is good that I don't need.

I agree with dpsutphin, my dis was cracked for years also, and it never gave me any problems. Although it's a hard thing to overlook when your car won't start, that may not have anything to do with your car not starting. I found my new dis on ebay for around $20.

My DIS has a cracked connector for 6 years no problem. Are you getting spark? Do you have fuel?

If you have no spark, then that cracked DIS module is a likely culprit.

Cracked DIS modules are often the result of a failed rear subframe bushing on the passenger side. Check physical clearance between the DIS module and any metal parts (i.e., dampener) below it on the firewall side.

I tried to stat it with starting fluid and got nothing. It has fuel and spark but I am starting to think it has a weak spark.

I think it could be the DIS. The day it shut off I dropped the clutch on it and took off out of the shop I got to the end of the parking lot (50ft) and stopped. When I stopped the car shut off. The crack in my DIS was not there when I closed the hood to pull it out of the shop.
