The problem with my SHO shutting down inetrmittantly has been corrected thanks to the input of the SHO forum participants.
The Crank Position Sensor (CPS) needed replacing. It was both dosed with oil from a leakey front crank seal and wet from a leaking water pump HOUSING (not the water pump).
NOTE: My Ford dealer says the 2 "O" rings and the inlet pipe gasket on the water pump HOUSING are no lonegr available from FORD, he found an extra set at another dealer which I will guard with my life.
The project: front oil seal, timing belt, pump HOUSING O rings and gasket, rebuilt pump ($60), crank position sensor, both accessory belts, about $325 for all the parts.
Tips:
1.) saw off a 5mm hex wrench so the tail is only about 2 inches long to have room while working on the PS/WP belt tensioner
2.) Helm book doesn't mention it but unbolt the power steering resivour so it can be moved to allow more room, and remove the vibration dampner bracket on the motor
3.) save the 2 longest front cover bolts to use to pull the timing belt gear
4.) use antisieze on the 6mm cover bolts, there ain't much to grab when they sieze, and the 3 piece covers are nop longer available from Ford
5.) when you change the clutch save the release bearing retainer sleve, it works great for tapping the front crank oil seal into place
