i was wondering if any one knows the resistance on the cps at idle ? knowing this could be a good tool in trouble shooting or putting a resistor across the plug to start the car and move it out of the road if need be. i assume that its between 1 and 5k of resistance

The crankshaft sensor is a digital-output hall device (PIP) that responds to a rotating metallic vane mounted on the crankshaft damper assembly. This means a pulsed signal, 5V should be the input voltage.
