Here is a topic from this section where I have posted the prices and services for the various 60/100K maintenance activities. Check it out and see if you can get a better idea of what services and parts you may need to address in the near future.

See if you can narrow down the source of that knock...if it is coming from the top of the motor, under the bulge at the rear of the cam/valve cover, it is very likely a timing chain tensioner. This is a common problme, they tend to get worn/weak, allowing the chain to slap against the cover. Good news is, it really won't hurt anything; bad news is, they are discontinued from Ford.

If the knock is deeper down, int he bottom end, I'd be concerned about the rod bearings.

Sounds like a sweet car!! :thumb:

i hope that it is the chain. the place where i can seem to hear it seems to be close to the no. 6 cylinder. if not to the right of it. but then again sound travels and so does vibration. so there is no telling.other than that its a bad *** car. i can tell no power loss so thats why i wasnt to concerned. dont get me wrong i was concerned, but nothing i can really do about it though. oh yeah got word that it will be out of the shop by next tue. /wed. just waiting on parts for the trans. and the clutch from sho shop :thumb:
