Connector disconnect...

Quick question......is there any trick to disconnecting the main EEC wiring harness at the firewall? As you untighten the bolt, is the connector drawn from the plug, or do you yank?

You have to unhook the tabs on the plastic cover and loosen the bolt.

I've never disconnected my ECU, but I know that when you undo the bolt on the ICRM connector just above the radiator that the connector is drawn away from the ICRM as you loosen the bolt. No yanking required or desired.

Just loosen the bolt and wiggle the connector out.

If you want to remove the EEC computer itself, go in through the glove compartment, remove the rear screws, and push in from the engine compartment into the dash.
