Cold start issue?

When i start the engine cold in the morning it revs pretty high (about 2K rpm) then smoothes out. I feel that it may be damaging to the yamaha to be reving this high when its ice cold. I dont give it gas at all, thats just how it starts...advice??

Thats just a normal procedure the car does to warm up the engine. No damage to the Yamaha. thumb
