coil failure after wiring open secondaries??

So this is getting annoying...this is the 2nd time this has happened. wired open the secondaries, and in less than 24 hours, a coil fails. it's too coincidental to be unrelated. why?

Yes once one of the original coils dies the rest aren't far behind IMHO.

It's the sin exiting from the straight pipes haunting the coils.

Joe, that's a distinct possibility. Oh well...I'll just wait till I've replaced all the coils before I wire them puppies open again. It's just too weird to be coincidence.

I can assure you that tying open the secondaries has nothing to do with your coils. Much better than driving around with them closed and not working.

dammit, so now that I spent about 1/2 hour trying to get that stupid little cable thingy back on, you're telling me to take it off again???

Ha.... My advice to anyone with a V8 SHO is to tie it open and trash the controller. Or sell it on fLeaby to the unwary......
