any idea's or help would be appreciated greatly.
here's the scenario:
I had been reading some of your posts on the TPS sensor (...more responsive etc.), when low and behold, the very next day, the CEL comes on...Code 124. hooooraaaaay, now i have to replace it. so i do with the Wells TPS215 part number. Everything is cool. About 1,500 miles later CEL again, same Code 124. So i check the connections (everythings OK), then the Chilton's and find out i didn't line up the "tabs/ears" properly (I corrected it, lined the tabs up and turned it clockwise - everything's OK). I drive around another 200 miles or so and CEL again same Code 124.
Is there something I am doing wrong?
Also my chilton's calls for a red seal or something and it didn't come on the new part and I don't think it was on the old one. Could this be the culprit?
Also, I have been "clearing" the codes, by pulling my jumper while running the KOEO test. This is correct right?
B.T.W.
I'm getting the Code 565 Purge Canister Solenoid, first every time i run the codes now. Could these two be related? How hard is the purge can. sol. to replace?
Any advise is appreciated.
Thanks in Advance thumbs_u
