Considering all the commotion over the disappearance of the SHONUT OEM clutch kit (and the nearly 5 current clutch threads), I thought it would be a nice idea to start a thread about our choices of clutches. Just put down what you have, where you got it, and for how much (and maybe a comment or two).

Mods, can we make this sticky if it is successful?

NAPA OEMClutch Kit
NAPA
~$300
Light pedal, grabs fairly well and near top.

Is the departure of the shonut clutch really that big a deal? Can you still get the ceramic tob? Monument auto parts for like 250, southbend rally, tz kevlar and dxd dual friction, 285, 430 and 460. Spec clutches range in price 400-500 dollars i think. Best bet, southbend rally, 285.

Centerforce - Came with the car.
Engages smoothly and grabs well, but when I finish my 3.2 build up, I will purchase a better clutch.

The OEM kits you`ll get from NAPA,or anywhere for that matter, aren`t going to be as good as the SHONut ones mostly were. The Canadian units were new OEM,the ones in the US(not sure where they`re made) are reman OEM,they don`t hold up nearly as well.Clutches aren`t anything that will become obsolete like our other parts.Any clutch builder can make them, even relining your old disc.
