Well, its that time! Everything is jacked up, engine stand is on and oil has just been drained. Its just so hot outside so I'm gonna wait til the evening time to do the starter oil pan, and subframe. If you all have any pointers to make my life easier, just drop a line.

Question...... How do I get the axle out? I see the clips on them, do I just pop the clips and slide it out?

knuckle side or transmission side?

knuckle side = hard wood + big hammer (UPDATE: Maybe some heat too)
transmission side = pull

Well guys, it looks like I need a transmission. I guess the Throw out bearing exploded and took out the fork inside the tranny, and the whole sleeve! Let me know if you got one and how much.

Does the bell housing remove from the actual transmission? I see the bolts around it.

Your going to need at least that half of the tranny case. Should be a few around or a whole tranny.

Just remember if you separate the cases, and use just a new half, you have to re-shim the diff in the case.

Well, thanks to Bizzy I have another tranny to play with. It should be going in today (weather permitting). Rod bearings have been installed and I'm just waiting on suspension parts before I get the subframe back in. I dropped the oil pan and saw a whole bunch of rubber pieces it looks like. Right before the clutch went, I was smoking the whole neighborhood up so I think I had a few valve seals go. So my work still isnt done! Once again thanks for everyones help

Quick question...... I think in the process of my tranny letting go, I am missing a screw that attaches the TOB to the fork. What can I use in place of the screw?
