Ok tested out the new shaft and my SHO is back on the road. Now i have a clunk in the right front usually on turns or bumps so it may be the strut/spring or i didn't tighten the axle nut down enough. (tool only goes to 150f/lb)
Just want to be sure i don't break anything else.
what is the torque on the axle nut 180-200?

Thanks in advance

check out the 'broken subframe club' page that is kicking around here. its more than likely the strut rod to subframe connection point.

the torque is not that important, honestly a value is irrelivant when it is as high as it is. the book should just say effin tight <--- spelled like that too

you didn't remove the strut to do the axle did you (if you did shame on you)? if not then it shouldent be that.

chances are a swaybar link is either worn out and is knocking on bumps or one of the bolts loostened up on you on the swaybar link. I would go through and check all of the bolts you removed. strut rod bolts, balljoint, tie rod and swaybar link if you removed it. Check it anyway even if you didn't.

I would suspect swaybar links, because they usually cause a knocking over bumps when there is a problem. but check everything anyway it only takes a few min.
