Clips for License Plate Light

Clips are broken on a '13.
Anyone have any learning experiences they would like to share??

I use a pry tool to take them out. They aren't that expensive to replace. I had one rust up inside and swapped over to LED in the process.

Know where I can read up on replacing the clips?? My Google searches have failed

Just a tab on either side of the assembly keeps them in place. Are the clips on the body side of the lamp broken? If the clips on the lamp assembly are broken, replace the assembly.

Both of mine are broken as well. I don't get how something like this breaks, they are tucked in away from any type of contact. Thanks for the link to the LED option, I might have to get a couple of those.

Had bumper replaced which loosened the clips plus driving on rock gravel road every day broke the clips. Now to search for clips for skid plate
