So, I got that wrong - BIG DEAL. At least I didn't welch against another forum member and have the integrity to admit when I'm wrong. I would much rather be chastized for bad memory, than have shit for a reputation. You can try to weasel out of this all you want, but the fact is you made an offer, made an agreement, and then welched on it. Period. Dot.

good be mad all you want i dont care, i aint trying to weasel my way out of anything

Wow, somebody REALLY needs to manufacture some of these. Don't go shipping troops to Iraq over it or anything . . .

don't be, well all these other people want it too, lets see who wants it the most....

u offered it for sale, had a buyer, then said FU... that isn't cool

what if I wanted them too? he asked for them first and that was a done deal... I lost out... big deal... don't say hey I'll still sell them too you if you pony up some more dinero then him.........

if that was the case you shouldn't have even mentioned selling them on here, none the less sent him a PM back with the price

Just to let everybody know, I found these before I saw this thread. I think that this is what everybody wants, including myself. Hope I'm correct.

Not to change the subject, but what exactly are "clear" headlights? I thought mine are clear, no color on them anywhere, just showing their age. Nothing that I can't fix with my Micro Mesh kit. Let me know please. And yes, I know that I am a "newbie". LOL

What we really need, is someone to simply make a clear version of the amber cover-lens. In pulling the plastic fender seal from a broken OEM corner light, I found that the amber lens is simply bonded to a complete underlying clear lens and is something that could easily be dremmeled-off and replaced. No need to replaced the entire light, and you still have OEM quality with factory SAE markings.

No we are not slow, matter of fact, this topic was created nearly a year ago, when clear corners were not being made. So in fact, calling us slow is kind of ironic.

I'll cut you some slack, since English isn't your first language, where are you from anyway?

Edit: Oh, you're from New York?... wow...

Yeah, that makes it ok, because modified SAE housings (amber removed) are still street legal. They'll never catch on!

That wasn't my point - it was that a few people "prefer" OEM parts over aftermarket, and making such a mod retains the quality, fit, and look of the OE lens. Also, an amber side reflector is not a required in many states, and some require either an amber reflective lens or amber side marker light. In those states I believe the 194NA bulb meets that requirement.

I have aftermarket clear corners, and with the exception of a rubber seal which tore as a result of accident damage, the fit and finish was identical to OEM.

On the amber side-facing reflector, I'm pretty sure that it's use is mandated in the FMVSS, which is what most if not all of the states base their V&T equipment laws off of.

I don't know what the Federal requirements are by law. My comments were based on replies to questions I've asked at multiple state vehicle inspection stations in a number of states (including those on several Federal military installations), as well as comments from others who have asked the same question at inspection stations in their states. I would hope that they're complying with Federal safety standards . . . .

I disagree about the quality of the units I've seen, compared to OEM - but that could be the result of different aftermarket manufacturers, or different production-runs or quality control within production runs by the same aftermarket manufacturer. From a distance you can't tell, but in-hand I can look at the two and readily tell them apart.

The cheap rubber fender seal on every unit I've seen, deteriorates over time, are poorly fixed to the housing, and tend to become soft to the point that they do not remain properly attached to the housing. They also tend to discolor compared to OEM.

I do have a set of clearcorners, but have OEM parking/marker lamps on my SHO.

Ditto, I have 2 sets of these made about 1.5-2 years apart. Both feel extremely cheap compared to the OEM housing, it's not just the rubber seal either. The plastic of the housing of the clear corners seems to be thinner and more fragile, and the entire unit just feel very cheap in my hands.

They're definitely not what anyone would consider well built, unless you think a gen II Taurus is "well built", then in which case the corners might be half decent.

Yeah I've had 2 sets of these on 2 of my SHO's, both sets felt like POS's. But I still used them cause they looked better than stock lol.
