my check oil lght comes on when i drive for a while i checked the oil and the level was fine could the light becoming on because i need a oil change

It could be a number of things... oil pressure etc.

Just hope to god its not an oil pump problem.. Theyre not easy to find.

its not the red oil light to the left its yellow the check oil light to the right

Could be your oil sender unit located on the rear of the engine between the engine and the firewall, not terrible to get to but not much room for a socket/wrench to get back there. I think they are a few bucks at napa. make sure you get the "electronic" unit and not the mechanical one unless you plan on putting an aftermarket guage in...

If the "check oil" light is coming on, and oil level is full... It would not be a pressure sender, it will be the level sensor in the back of the oil pan. I reads the oil level, if low, it will light the "check oil" light. It is amber in color and by the red oil pressure light.

Sounds to me, you need an oil level sensor. Drain the engine oil, and replace the sensor.
