We have just traded in our 2010 SHO for a 2014 SHO with all of the same equipment. We loved the 2010 since it was flawless save for one issue that became both an inconvenience and a safety issue. In three years of ownership, Ford had to replace dead batteries that would not take a charge at the rate of one each year. Since this was my wife's car and it left her in unsafe situations I decided to take the issue up with Ford. They contended that there was nothing wrong with the charging system and they were without explanation for the complete failure of one battery each year. However, in ordering the 2014 SHO, I noted that one of the new "Standard Features" is an "upgraded charging system".

Has anyone had this ongoing problem with an SHO? If so, was it resolved? How?

1st I've heard of this, all though the batteries the put in cars from the factory don't last very long 2-3yrs. But this doesn't explain your issue, if I had to guess why your batteries where dying so quickly. I would believe there was a over charging issue. The batteries that where replaced where they all the same brand?

My batter died at 19k miles/1.5 years old in my 2013 SHO PP. I drove to a place, turned the car off and that was it. Wife came over, I removed the battery and Ford swapped it out.
