That's the one reason I'd choose a Cincy hood over the CF hoods, not a fan of the hood pins at all.

They are not that bad...they give it more of a racecar feel, or a ricer feel depending on your taste ;)

I like to look at them while I'm going down the road. Someone asked me if they were like nose rings for cars.

There are 2 sides to every story. I wont go into it here. It has been hashed before.

I am not looking to start any problems i just dont want to not put hood pins on my car and then have that happen to me, i just figured that since i was sent hood pins with the hood there was an implication that they should be used. Im just hesitant to drill holes in a 500 dollar hood, that my dilema(SP). I also like the shaved/clean look to cars and hood pins dont fall under that category. So i started this thread to see how many are not running hood pins so i could make up a decision wether or not i am going to put the pins on my car.

I know. I was just saying that this has been hashed before.

They sent the hood pins becasue of the failures.

I have been running the longest without hood pins and my SHO has seen over 100mph without them and been fine.

It would still be at your own risk though.

I kind of wish I had mounted mine farther in. That way I could still be using the factory stops. At highway speeds my hood moves around a little because the drivers side isn't tight against the pin. Not a big deal, I know its not going anywhere.

Mine has seen ~130 a couple of times. But, I do have pins, wasn't paying attention to what it was doing.
