The people deserve to know
Cecil was somewhat disappointing for me last night. I think I have come to the conclusion that at some point a front wheel drive car must either be dedicated to the strip or road course. Apparently, I made mine for the twisties. I have a combination of parts that makes the car impossible too launch.
My only other gripe is that my shifter is binding up. I installed a new ball and socket at the end of the shift lever. At this point, there is no free play at the end of the lever. It feels nice around town, at higher rpms, that lack of free motion causes me to struggle to find the shift gates properly. I feel that I lost at least 1/4 seecond on each shift.
One good thing that came out of last night is that I can tell that the car is fast and will up to speed if I can find a way to get **** to the end of the shifter.
anyway, here's my stats:
60-------2.542-----2.331-----2.665-----2.389
330 -----6.682-----6.444-----6.773-----6.699
1/8------10.013---9.786-----10.200----10.091
mph-----73.46-----73.10----71.85------72.46
1000----12.841---12.618----13.075---12.954
1/4------15.198---14.952----15.435---15.306
mph-----96.91-----97.65----96.73-----96.78
If I can get the car to shift right, and catch a 2.3 60', I am sure I can cross the line at over 100mph.
*edit*That looks a little better*edit*
