So last night i replaced my motor mounts and when i got everything put back together and tried to start the car the ccrm relay started humming and the fans kicked on and there was no hum from the fuel pump so obviously the ccrm relay is bad. has anybody had luck with getting one from napa or orielys or even ghetto zone? I know that the atx takes a j code ccrm and the parts stores dont distinguish that. and they also dont say anything about controlling the fuel pump so im kinda skeptical about getting one from them.

Ive gone over everything, i took everything apart all over again and went over everything i touched withn a fine tooth comb and all the wires are almost perfect, no burns or scorches anywhere. no rubbing on stuff or anything like that.

^^^^^^This.
Don't buy anything yet, and when you do, search on here first, as this is your best bet to get a good working module.

I would get a ground wire and attach it the the negative post of your battery (with a ring connector behind the nut) and attach it to various ground body bolts in the engine compartment (since it was a motor mount change that started this event).

You failed to tell us if it still runs at this point.

i mean i get going over things but ive done that and still with the same result from the ccrm humming. whern i first put the car back together and tried it, the fans kicked on with the ignition like they were getting turned on for some reason and than after a couple times od turning the ignition the ccrm just hums along with nothing from the fuel pump. so my real guess isnt grounds or going over everything a fourth time. almost positive i need a j code ccrm.

I never owned an automatic GenI or II but I have owned 3 or 4 manual cars and each one has to have the exact replacement coded model to operate correctly. Does this unit have the correct same replacement code configuration for your car? Why do you think the J is what you need? Is that the only one that came with the 93ATX cars? Do you know what the oem unit you removed was? I would look for a good known used unit.

yep the j code is on the car, and its oe. the mtx cars that ive had and have are m code and in the past ive tried switching them but nada happened. i get that i need a good one but i cant exactly run to the junk yards in denver when i live 230 miles away on the western slope of colorado. thats why i went the napa and orielys route but the more ive read tells me that the ones they have wont work. the ford number on my ccrm is f1df 12b577 aa with a big j on it and from the tech notes from napa the one they have is the same ford stamping. so my question is has anybody gotten one from napa or orielys with the same ford stamping and had it work or not work. thats my question.

I get that you can't run to and fro from your location. I would look for a known working used unit and have it mailed in. I don't know your financial situation, so it's easy for me to say throw money at it, but you should be able to find a used unit for a semi-reasonable price. Look up Dan Barbush on this forum and see if he has the part you are looking for. His used part prices are very good and he is responsive and great to deal with. No experience with the NAPA units as I have always replaced with used oem units

I was going to suggest that you message Dan too until I saw that you posted in the FB group . I thought you would have found one there by now .

Quick google search popped these. I would cross ref the parts before I pulled the trigger on them but it's a start. Again I would email Dan first and I can provide his email if needed. Also shosource shows them listed on their website and I would compare the cost of their units to the ebay units and if they are close go with Shosource

This is very similar to the same problem I'm having. I had my motor mounts changed 2 months ago and the car was running and starting fine up until today (December 2nd). Unlike yours my issue is intermittent. Sometimes the car starts and runs fine and some times it does not. Were you able to resolve anything yet?

yea its the ccrm which i replaced however the fans dont kick on so if it idles for a while itll get hot. the ccrm controls the fuel pump and the fans. your is probly gonna take a crap on you soon so you shld look into replacing that.
