Had the passenger's side axle and front wheel bearing replaced over the weekend. When I picked the car up, the mechanic said the carrier bearing between the axle and the intermediate shaft should be replaced sometime soon. Drove it about 5 miles and the bearing apparently crapped out. Ford lists the bearing as obsolete and doesn't have it. Anyone know a part number or where I can find one? The other option that I was given was I could swap out the 2 piece axle/intermediate shaft for a one piece shaft which would eliminate this bearing. Anyone have any thoughts? I miss my SHO and driving my fiance's Hyundai Accent is like walking. lol
