Car Wont Kick over...

I was doing about thirty yesterday and all of a sudden my Battery Light came on then my car stalled out. I then try to restart it but it did'nt want to kick over. It has power so the battery is fine The starter is bout less than a year old, and couldnt get it started so Its not the alternator. Does any know what the problem is Thanks... thumb

"kicking over" has no defined meaning unless you're discussing a bucket.

Is the problem "Won't crank" or "Cranks but does not fire"?

It helps if you use terms that have a common meaning.

Fuel delivery, spark, or airflow.

One of them is missing or is occuring out of time.

Fuel delivery is checked by checking for fuel pressure at the rail. $40 at AutoZone.

Spark can be checked by using a timing light or the old "screwdriver in the spark plug wire" trick.

Airflow can be eliminated by slightly cracking the throttle while cranking.

Watch your tach and the check engine light while cranking. Report your observations of each.

Try the main power line going to the alternator, black wire connected to the alternator.

It's pretty heavy. You'll have to kick a little harder to knock it over.
