No, It's not mine this time.

A Local fellow called me tonight saying that his car would not start. He said the fuel pump is not priming and the car does not turn over whats so ever. FWIW, His car ran perfectly fine yesterday and he did over 300 miles worth of driving with it.

The car just makes a click upon starting. It's not turning over. He asked for my assistance tonight but I am not the brightest of people (As I am sure you all know). When this happened to me it was a matter of a few blown fuses.

So, Where is the first place I should look? Since the fuel pump is not priming at all and the car is not turning over either would it be wise to assume this is an Ignition/Electrical issue? FWIW, I also know that he just recently replaced his coil pack with a ACCEL Replacement from SHOsource as well as put new Tayler wires in.

Battery, cables, connections.

Sounds like an electrical connection problem for certain.

No, it'll be something with either the connections at the battery (poles), at the starter (the big cable for the GenII), on the firewall fuse panel for the GenII, if it's a genI then check the connections on the solenoid on the fender by the airbox.

this may seem obvious but, did he check the fuel shut off button in the trunk? probably not it but i'd though i'd add it.

That could be why the fuel pump is not working... But that wouldn't explain the no crank situation. Plus, the fuel pump could be priming, but with limited juice going to it, you wouldn't hear it.
