I tried searching but didn't really find anything to help me. I drove my car yesterday, it ran fine, nothing weird. Parked it overnight, went to fire it this morning, and it wouldn't fire. It's turning over, but won't fire. Fuel pump is coming on with key on, so i checked the schrader (spelling?) valve, a little fuel coming out, but not much. Replaced the fuel filter, now i have fuel pressure, but it still won't fire. Sprayed starting fluid into the intake while trying to fire, nothing. Took off plug wire, stuck screwdriver in it, nothing. So what should i be checking now? CPS? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

*EDIT* This is in my 94 SHO ATX

you're lucky it didn't fire. It might have killed you... anyway, likely culprits of no spark are the DIS and the CPS/CKP. DIS is the gray box on the side of the intake. Are the bolts on it tight? How about the connectors?

CPS is the camshaft sensor, located on the rear valve cover on the passenger side. Like, at the end of the camshaft...

CKP is the crankshaft sensor, and the most likely suspect. This one's a bugger, it's right off the crankshaft pulley way down there in the engine. You will need to remove nearly half the engine to get to it but it can be done. Search for "CKP replacement".

Do you have a multimeter handy?

well crap, I'm on vista right now, I don't have access to the ford CDs, but you can check for voltage at the coil connector to see if you're getting a spark command from the DIS, and you can do the same thing at the DIS to check the ECU. I don't know which pins to check though. Someone else might chime in...
