Car jacking points, jacking and jack stand locations

Hi all,

I'm trying to figure out where to place jack stands when working on my SHO. There are 4 clearly defined jacking points under the car where the emergency scissor jack goes. I would also assume normal floor jacks should use these jacking points.

The question is, where should I place my jack stands? The issue that I see is that the plastic trim seems to cover up the pinch welds except where the jacking points are. Is there a center jacking point on this car at all? Like an area on the subframe? My old Subaru used to have a central jacking point on the subframe so I could jack it up in the center and rest the jack stands on the side jacking points.

I used the rearward subframe bolt area to put jackstands when I did the oil and filter and PTU oil change

I use a 2x4 on a slight angle so it doesnt split to distribute the load a little bit and not damage the pinch weld like so.

There should be 4 bolts where the front k-member and rear subframe connect to the body. That's what I've always used for the floor jack points.

I use a Quickjack but didn't get the V-blocks for the pinch welds because of their size compared to the size of the plastic rocker moldings openings. The regular Quickjack blocks work but leave deep impressions from the pinch welds. Instead I bought these magnetic pinch weld adaptors. Saves time trying to align things up. Just slap them up there and they stay until you're done.

what about from the bottom of the suspension arm in the rear right under the spring? would you guys consider that a safe spot too? i'm looking around at all these options and the cheapest easiest/safest thing i can come up with is using the cross beam i fabricated for my low profile jack to lift each end of the vehicle as high as possible using the spots i just mentioned in the rear and the subframe bolts in the front and then support with padded jack stands on the approved pinch weld spots.

Got them on ebay over a year ago. They hold well. One day I forgot to remove them and when I got back home and pulled into the garage, I was surprised to see they were still there. Recently I didn't have one aligned all the way and bent one. I quit using them as the quickjack blocks don't seem to sustain any damage from the pinchwelds.
