I just installed a new trans in my car. It has been about a month, sence I took the old trans out. Its a long story why it took me so long. But it only took 2 days to put it together once I had the trans. Anyway once the car was all back together I had this bracket left over. I have no clue where it goes. I figured it can't be hugly important, because the car starts, and kinda drives. There are a few bolts here and there that I am missing that is why I didn't drive it very far. But does anyone have any clue what this bracket goes to!! It has to be somewhere on the front suspention or trans or engine. I just have no clue where it goes.

Ok thanks. I didn't really think it was that important. But I feel better knowing what it is now. I could have just gone to the gym for an hour and lost that weight from a car. LOL thanks

seems to me that it goes on the transmission with its main purpose being to protect the clutch linkage from coming in contact with the wiring harness

Yes. Agree with algae. That bracket provides clearance for the clutch lever. The wire harnesses will droop down and interfere without it.
